Kako lahko povežemo spoznavanje okolja z matematiko in jezikom?
V prvem razredu smo učno uro izvedli takole in ker je lepo uspela, z vami delim ideje:)
Ker se približuje veseli mesec obdarovanja, smo se naučili malce prirejeno pesmico What do you want for Christmas? (original najdete TULE).
Tokrat so si (po moji presoji (domišljiji)) darila bolj želeli fantje, zato bomo ustregli njihovim željam:)

Magic vehicle box
V krog postavim čarobno škatlo. Povabim otroke, da iz nje zložijo vsebino (avtomobilčke, letala, vlake, čolne, kolesa - lahko so to otroške igračke ali slikovno gradivo).
Mi smo v škatli imeli sličice, zato sem otroke povabila, da škatla potuje po krogu, na znak "YOU MAY OPEN IT", pa so jo lahko odprli, vzeli sličico in jo skupaj poimenovali.
Prevozna sredstva nato uredimo v skupine. Lahko jih najprej urejamo po barvi, nato po vrsti. Vsako skupino glasno preštejemo.
Na tleh v krogu naredimo stolpični prikaz prevoznih sredstev. Enak stolpični prikaz oblikujejo sami na DELOVNI LIST. Pobarvajo število polj, ki ustreza številu prevoznih sredstev iz škatle.
Učence sprašujem: »How many cars are there?« Odgovorijo: »Four.« Odgovore povežemo z gibanjem. (Ob številu 4 štirikrat plosknemo, ob številu 1 enkrat poskočimo, ob številu 2 dvakrat udarimo po kolenih …).
Red light, green light
Pripravim rdeč, rumen in zelen krog in razložim navodila za delo.
Otroci se bodo gibali po razredu. Ko dvignem zelen krog, hitro hodijo ali tečejo, ko pokažem rumenega, se njihova hoja upočasni in ko pokažem rdeči karton, se ustavijo. Spreminjam hitrost menjanja kartonov. Včasih dvig pospremim z besedo, včasih ne.
Pedestrian crossing
Na tla nalepimo bele kartone, ki predstavljajo prehod za pešce. Dva otroka sta avtomobila, ki imata za volan igralni obroč, drugi pa prečkajo cesto. Vedno se morajo prepričati, če je prečkanje varno in sicer tako, da pogledajo levo, desno in še enkrat levo. Svoje poglede tudi ubesedijo: left, right, left.
Vloge med igro menjamo.
